Bonaparte raises $2.4m for diamond exploration

Perth-based Bonaparte Diamond Mines NL today announced a capital raising of $2.38 million with the funds to be applied to Bonaparte's ongoing exploration and evaluation of their diamond exploration projects.

There will also be work done on the acquisition and development of new diamond exploration projects which the company intends to pursue on the African continent.
Bonaparte remains focused on capitalising on its technical strengths and unique marine diamond sampling and processing system to source marine diamond deposits in offshore Namibia.
The company has two tenement areas off Namibia on the west coast of southern Africa, an area with a long history of diamond exploration and mining.
The company also intends to further develop its mineral interests onshore in South Africa where field exploration is due to commence in early 2006.
Bonaparte listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in October 2004.
