Board Moves September 23, 2022

Athena Resources has appointed Peter Newcomb as non-executive director, following the resignation of Clint Moxham from the board at the end of this month. Mr Newcomb has over 30 years of professional and commercial experience across a number of industries and locations including London, Scotland, Singapore and Perth. This includes over 10 years in the resources industry within Western Australia.

Daniel Murnane has resigned as company secretary of Beach Energy. Current general counsel Susan Jones will take over company secretarial duties until a permanent replacement is appointed.

Following Genesis Minerals’ acquisition of a majority control in Dacian Gold, several changes have been made to the board structure of both companies. From September 28, Eduard Eshuys and Mick Wilkes will resign from the Dacian board with Craig McGown appointed as non-executive chair; and Genesis nominees Tony Kiernan, Morgan Ball and Lee Stephens will be appointed to the Dacian board as non-executive directors. On September 30, Tommy McKeith and Nev Power will resign from the Genesis board. And from October, Tony Kiernan will become non-executive chair of Dacian, Mick Wilkes will become non-executive director of Genesis, and former Dacian chief executive Dale Richards will become chief geologist of Genesis.

Dr Mark Bennett has resigned as non-executive director of Todd River Resources. Dr Bennett has been with the board since December 2018 and is stepping down to focus on his role as executive chair of S2 Resources following its recent office relocation and changes in management structure which will require more time in the daily running of the business.
