BHP has appointed Michelle Hinchliffe as an independent non-executive director from March 2022. Ms Hinchliffe has over 30 years of experience in KPMG’s financial services division, and has spent time as a partner and board member of its Australian and UK practices. She will retire from KPMG UK in February 2022.

Chris Hunt has replaced Matthew Worner as company secretary of Cannon Resources.

Gold Road Resources has appointed Denise McComish as an independent non-executive director from 7 September. Ms McComish has extensive audit and advisory experience including governance and risk, capital transactions and regulatory filings with national and global companies. She also has international experience across multiple sectors; principally in energy and natural resources, financial services and infrastructure.

Redbank Copper has appointed experienced mining executive Dale Henderson as non-executive director. Mr Henderson is an engineer with experience in mine operations and development within the resources sector, including brownfields and greenfields environments, and across a range of commodities in metals and onshore hydrocarbons.

Seafarms Group has appointed Mick McMahon as chief executive and Ian Brannan as group chief finance officer. Harley Whitcombe will remain as joint CFO for a short handover period. Mr McMahon held extensive senior leadership roles with major domestic and international companies across numerous industry sectors. Mr Brannan has extensive experience across a range of major food and building supplies companies in Australia and internationally. They will both commence their roles on 20 September.

VRX Silica has appointed David Welch as non-executive director. Mr Welch is an experienced senior executive in the planning, development and operation of logistics and infrastructure supply chains for commodities markets including mining, agriculture and industrial products sectors.
