Board Moves July 27, 2018

Ross Stanley has been appointed non-executive director of Lucapa Diamond Company. Mr  Stanley has extensive background in the resources industry in Australia and Africa, specialising in drilling and related exploration and mining services. Non-executive directors Gordon Gilchrist has decided to retire after a distinguished career in the diamond sector and Albert Thamm has stepped down following his recent appointment to a senior full-time position with a global mining company.

DongPing Wang will retire as non-executive director of Metro Mining after 8 years of service. Mr  Wang was originally appointed to the board of MetroCoal in 2010 as a representative of DADI Engineering Development Group, China’s largest coal industry engineering group. XiaoMing Yuan, alternate director for Mr  Wang since 2014, will become non-executive director.

Darren Fooks has joined the board of Strategic Minerals Corporation as non-executive director. Mr  Fooks is a partner of Thomson Geer Lawyers and has been practicing energy, resources and infrastructure law for more than 25 years, and has advised on all Australian legal issues relevant to energy, resources and infrastructure activities. Christopher Wallin, a major shareholder of the company, has resigned as non-executive director.
