BHP has appointed Gary Goldberg as non-executive director effective February 2020. Mr Goldberg has over 35 years of global experience within the mining industry in executive, operational and strategic roles.
Neil Meadows, general manager of projects and business improvement at Blackham Resources, has been appointed operations director. He will take responsibility for the company’s operations, projects delivery, contract management, and general oversight of the improvement of business processes and systems. Mr Meadows was the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy North Queensland Resources Industry Professional of the Year in 2009.
Peter Duerden will take over from David Richardson as managing director of Magmatic Resources from February 2020, with Mr Richardson assuming the role of executive chair. Current non-executive chair David Berrie will become non-executive director, and Malcolm Norris will step down from the board. Mr Duerden has over 20 years of experience in mineral exploration and resource development in gold and base metals, with particular expertise in East Lachlan mineral systems.
