Cauldron Energy has appointed experienced finance and corporate executive Jonathan Fisher as chief executive. Mr Fisher has 20 years of experience in the resources and corporate industries.

Bill Clayton has stepped down as managing director of Lodestar Minerals, with current non-executive chair Ross Taylor transitioning to an executive chair. Mr Clayton has been in the role since the company’s inception in 2007. The company has appointed Ed Turner as non-executive director. Mr Turner is a geologist with over 35 years of experience in the mining industry and has been involved in exploration management, underground mining, resource development, capital raisings, commercial acquisitions and divestments.

The Market Herald has advised that Jag Sanger is no longer its managing director, but remains with the company as a non-executive director. Tommy Logtenberg has been appointed as acting chief executive while the company commences a search for a new managing director. Mr Logtenberg is an experienced hands-on finance and strategy (M&A) professional with an international focus and corporate finance background. The changes follow a review of its operations and ongoing discussions within the board on the future direction of the company.

Vital Metals has appointed Lisa Riley as an independent Canadian-based non-executive director, as the company expands its rare earths mining at Nechalacho. Ms Riley has nearly 30 years of experience in global capital markets, finance, mining advisory and government relations in Canada and Latin America.

West African Resources has strengthened its board with two appointments as it progresses to the next phase pf growth on its second gold mine, the Kiaka gold project in Burkina Faso. Robin Romero has been appointed as an independent non-executive director, and current non-executive director Libby Mounsey will transition to an executive director of human resources. Ms Romero has over 30 years of accounting, legal and commercial experience, predominantly in the mining sector. Ms Mounsey has more than 30 years of experience in human resources and industrial relations across the mining, construction, health, fisheries, and aviation industries.
