Australia is leading by 501 runs with three wickets in hand on the second day of the Third Test, after captain Ricky Ponting ended his batting reign at 209 runs.
At drinks, Australia was seven for 519, with Mitchell Johnson and Nathan Hauritz currently batting.
Earlier, Ponting scored his fifth Test double century as Pakistan continued to struggle on the field.
