What?  SpacetoCo is a web-based application that allows users to search, book and pay for the space the user needs wherever he or she is located. It allows anyone who has space to list it for availability for free.

Bookings can only proceed if they’re confirmed by the host.

The app is suitable for anyone who is looking for space to work, celebrate, create or even exercise.

Where?  It is a web-based application; however, there will be a downloadable app in the future. Spacetoco.com is responsive across all devices and operating systems.

Who? SpacetoCo was founded by three former schoolteachers – Jeremy Hurst, Daniel McCullen and Daniel Franco.

The company was registered in February 2016. Technical development continues to be provided by Birdbrain Digital.

Quotation? “We want to change the way people think about their spaces. We want to connect local people with local resources. We want to help people to be more sustainable in their use of space,” Daniel McCullen said.

$ It has taken $130,000 from the three founders (and plenty of sweat) to launch the business and create such a functional and beautiful web-app experience.
Currently, SpacetoCo is in a seed round for investment. Enquiries can go to danielmccullen@spacetoco.com

Next steps? The goal is to grow both sides of the marketplace in Perth to a solid transactional business and then turn its sights to the eastern states before looking to expand globally. SpacetoCo considers ease of access to its services to be a big opportunity for future growth.

SpacetoCo launched in March 2017 and is ranked #3 in BNiQ Startups List.
