Emma Johnson has been announced as the new Corruption and Crime Commission chief executive. Ms Johnson previously worked at the commission as senior executive for two years until 2018 when she stepped away from this role to serve as director of the federal government’s Sport Integrity Australia. Ms Johnson soon elevated to the deputy chief executive position. Prior to her appointment as Corruption and Crime Commission chief executive, Ms Johnson worked as Australian Border Force assistant commissioner.

Kimberley Ports Authority has revealed its new chief executive as Luke Westlake. Mr Westlake joined the Kimberley Ports Authority in December 2017 taking up the role of chief operating officer before rising to acting chief executive upon Craig Faulkner departure in June 2022. As permanent chief executive, Mr Westlake is set to manage the port of Broome and oversee the regulatory responsibilities of the ports of Wyndham, Derby and Yampi Sound.

Technology company Schrole Group has announced its new chief financial officer as Diana Shepherd. Ms Shepherd has vast experience in finance and accounting, practising across Australia and Europe. She previously worked as group financial controller at Swan Taxis Group and prior to this, she was financial controller and CFO at Soudal. Ms Shepherd succeeds Stephanie Syme who held the CFO position at Schrole for three years.

David Caddy has been selected as chair of the Western Australian Regional Development Trust. Mr Caddy has led a career in the urban and regional planning sector for more than 40 years and in 2018, he joined WA Planning Commission as chair. In his new role as WA Regional Development Trust chair, Mr Caddy will lead the trust to provide advice to Regional Development Minister Don Punch on the operation of the Royalties for Regions Fund. Mr Caddy succeeds Brendan Hammond who has served as chair since November 2017.

The Art Gallery of WA Foundation Council has recruited new councillors, Mario D'Orazio and Randal Humich. Mr D'Orazio has worked in the media industry for more than 40 years, most recently holding the position of Channel 7 Perth managing director for almost eight years until March 2019. Mr D'Orazio has served on an array of boards and is currently the chairman of Heart FoundationMr Humich works as a property developer, managing his business Humich Group, which was founded in 1990. Mr Humich has built a diverse investment portfolio ranging from cattle enterprises to office buildings. The Art Gallery of WA Foundation Council also confirmed the departure of three councillors: Michaela Fini, Linda Bond and Andrew Lu.

Law firm HFW has employed Simon Billing as a Perth-based partner for its employment division. Mr Billing has more than 30 years’ experience in employee relations as a specialist industrial relations, safety and employment law solicitor. Since 2017, Mr Billing was the director of S Billing & Associates, and he has previously been a partner at Corrs Chamber Westgarth and DLA Piper.
