Expression Australia has announced Nicky Long will be stepping away from the chief executive role with Rebecca Adam set to take over in April. Ms Long, who was appointed chief executive in 2020, has worked closely with Ms Adam over the past 12 months to allow for a smooth transition of leadership. Ms Adam has worked as the chief executive at Access Plus WA Deaf for the past three years, and prior to this she was a branch manager at NDIS. Ms Adam will be Expression Australia’s first deaf chief executive in 138 years.

Anson Resources has filled three positions in its executive team to support its Paradox Lithium Project and advance other projects. Matthew Beattie has been appointed as the company’s chief financial officer and Timothy Murray has been appointed as chief operating officer. Chemical engineer and experienced project manager Navin Gupta has been appointed as project director for Anson US subsidiary A1 Lithium Inc.

Chris Robertson has commenced his role as group general counsel at Westgold Resources. Mr Robertson brings over 25 years of experience as an international resources executive in the mining, oil and gas industry. Prior to his role at Westgold, he worked at South32 as vice president of legal global operations and business integrity, after working at BHP in several senior executive legal roles.

Leadership WA has appointed Grace Mugabe to its board of directors. Ms Mugabe is the founder and chief executive of Financially Empowered, a company which educates women, migrants and under-represented people on financial literacy. Ms Mugabe has 16 years’ experience as an accountant and has previously worked as a Curtin University accounting tutor and as the senior site accountant at Rio Tinto.

Sydney company FTI Consulting has appointed Perth-based Hayden White as a senior managing director in its consulting corporate finance and restructuring sector. Prior to this role, Mr White worked as a partner at KPMG for nearly 14 years and in total he will bring more than 20 years’ experience in the industry to FTI Consulting.

Medical scientist Jennifer Lawrence has been welcomed as a non-executive director at Curtin Heritage Living. Ms Lawrence has worked in the aged care and disability sectors for more than 20 years, working the past six of those years as chief executive at Brightwater Care Group. She is also a non-executive director at Harry Perkins Institute and an advisory board member at UWA Public Policy Institute.

Black Mountain Energy revealed the appointment of accountant Craig Gouws as chief financial officer. Mr Gouws has international experience in the oil and gas industry, previously working across Australia, the UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East and the US. Most recently, he worked as chief financial officer at ASX-listed Armour Energy in Brisbane. Mr Gouws will replace Alan Cooper, who will remain with the company for the transitional period before retiring on February 7.
