Virginia Miltrup will be chief executive at the City of Karratha. Ms Miltrup is executive director community and business services at the City of Vincent and has held senior executive roles with the CBH Group, Synergy and Thomson Reuters (Asia Pacific). She is the chair of the philanthropic organisation 100 Women, regional arts organisation International Art Space, and serves as deputy chair of disability services organisation Mosaic Community Care.

Bronwyn Grieve has joined Mineral Resources in the new role of chief people and shared services officer and become part of the company’s leadership team. Ms Grieve spent her early career at the World Bank managing strategic investment and advisory programs. Since returning to Perth at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms Grieve held senior executive positions in the WA Government supporting the State’s COVID recovery and growth policies.

Tim Walster has joined Corporate Affairs Australia as an equal partner with founder Simon Corrigan. Mr Walster’s most recent role was general manager government relations at Woodside, a company he has worked at for more than 15 years. Prior to working at Woodside, Mr Walster held roles in the offices of Commonwealth members of parliament and senators, as a chief of staff and principal policy adviser in state ministerial offices and industry associations like the Chamber of Minerals and Energy WA.

Austin Engineering has appointed David Bonomini as its chief financial officer. Mr Bonomini is a finance executive with experience in governance, regulatory and commercial initiatives. He was most recently the chief financial officer of uncrewed aerial vehicle parts manufacturer Orbital UAV. Previously, he has worked as chief financial officer at Compass Group Australia and KB Food Company.

Bellevue Gold has recruited Kate Frost as general manager of its namesake project. Ms Frost has more than 20 years’ experience in the resources industry and joins the company from her role as technical services manager at Rio Tinto. Prior to this, she held senior management positions with Gold Fields Australia, including roles involved with the startup of Gruyere mine and the Invincible underground project.

Kelly Hick will be a board member of the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association. Based in the South West, Ms Hick is the principal of KLH Consulting, specialising in governance training and strategy, and owns and operates boutique accommodation site Dunsborough Ridge Retreat. She previously served as deputy mayor and a councillor at the City on Bunbury, and started her career as a lawyer.
