Michael van Oudtshoorn has joined Activ Foundation as executive manager fundraising and events, while Darren Cutri has joined the organisation as chief operating officer. Prior to joining Activ, Mr van Oudtshoorn led the National Lotteries Team at MSWA for over 11 years, driving significant growth in revenue, profitability, and brand awareness. Mr Cutri most recently held the position of chief financial officer at Ability WA, and also worked in similar roles at the University of Notre Dame, MercyCare and the Anglican Diocese of Perth.

Clough chief executive and managing director Peter Bennett has been appointed chair of CEOs for Gender Equity, while Ashley Speers has accepted the role of chief executive of the organisation. Ms Speers is a PhD candidate in female inclusion and diversity in the mining sector. She previously held business development positions at PERSOLKELLY ANZ and Kelly Services Australia.

Colliers has made three personnel changes. Antonio Trimboli has been appointed as associate director in the office leasing team, after working at JLL. Jennifer Wong will be director of valuations and advisory. Ms Wong returns to Colliers after working for nearly 14 years at the former Colliers WA franchise. Ian Burrows has been promoted to director, facilities management in the organisation’s real estate management services team.

JLL has promoted Tyra D'Sylva as executive for office leasing. Ms D’Sylva joined the company in 2020, and most recently worked as executive assistant to managing director Angelo Amara and the property and asset management team.

Former District Court Chief Judge Kevin Sleight will be chair of the Prisoners Review Board of Western Australia. Mr Sleight also serves as chair of the Mentally Impaired Accused Review Board (MIARB) and chair of the Supervised Release Review Board (SRRB). He became Chief Judge of the District Court in 2015, serving a five-year term before his retirement from the bench. He was appointed District Court Judge in 2005 and Commissioner of the Supreme Court in 2011.

BetaShares has appointed Brendan Prowse as head of sales and client servicing in its new Western Australia office. Mr Prowse joins the company with 35 years’ experience, specifically in funds management and financial advice. He has previously held positions in sales and distribution for companies such as Vanguard, AMP and Zurich.
