Maraldo to lead David Moss

Pipe fittings manufacturer David Moss Corporation has appointed Shane Maraldo as chief executive officer from July this year. Mr Maraldo is currently the director of development for the group and has previously held senior positions in the construction materials, building projects, mining and industrial services industries.

Loney joins Cardno

Professional services provider Cardno has appointed Brett Loney as manager of environment and planning services in WA. Mr Loney was previously senior environmental sustainability manager at Fluor, and has worked on a range of infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, and industrial projects in Australia and overseas.

Lease Equity grows team

Commercial real estate company Lease Equity has appointed Shayne Eastcott as property manager. Ms Eastcott was previously property manager retail at Burgess Rawson and will be responsible for the Plaza Arcade in Perth’s CBD. Melissa Turton (above right) has been appointed as a leasing executive, and was previously also with Burgess Rawson. Liz Bredenkamp (above left) has been promoted to portfolio manager. Ms Bredenkamp was previously assistant property manager at the company.

Adams heads United Way

Tom Adams has been appointed as chairman of United Way WA, a non-profit organisation aimed at raising funds for selected charities throughout WA communities. He is currently the executive director of finance and business at Alcoa of Australia, and has been on the board of United Way since 2005.

Ongwamuhana advises Peak Resources

Kibuta Ongwamuhana has been appointed as principal adviser to the board of rare earth and gold miner Peak Resources on Tanzanian matters, as well as a director of Peak Resources Tanzania. Mr Ongwamuhana is currently the managing partner of Ako Law in Tanzania.

Law joins CSIRO research flagship

The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation has appointed Jonathan Law to the role of director of the Minerals Down Under National Research Flagship. Mr Law has previously held a number of leadership roles at CSIRO, and has also worked the in the geological research unit of Gencor, now BHP Billiton, as well as Gold Fields. He will be based in Melbourne, but has a research team in Perth.

Sinclair to Realmark

Real estate agency Realmark has appointed Mark Sinclair as an independent consultant following the launch of its new Realmark licence. Mr Sinclair is the chief executive officer of Realestimation and was previously CEO of Raine & Horne WA. His role will involve helping to fast track sales agents of property managers to develop business equity without the heavy investment burden of traditional independent or franchise options.

New consultants at Briscoe

Recruitment and human resources firm Briscoe Search and Consulting has appointed Yvonne Allen and Clint Carlson as consultants. Ms Allen has more than 20 years experience in office administration with a customer focus. Mr Carlson has experience in recruitment roles within the resources and engineering sectors.

Hall joins Hofmann Engineering

Specialist engineering service provider Hofmann Engineering has appointed Stephen Hall to the position of business development manager. Mr Hall was previously marketing and sales manager at Scanalyse and business development manager at Duratray. He is currently also a non-executive director of Austmine and of the Australia-Latin America Business Council.

Tsengelbayar joins Haranga

Iron ore miner Haranga Resources has appointed Erdene Tsengelbayar as chief operating officer. Mr Tsengelbayar was previously a senior vice-president and later managing director, metals and mining at a Mongolian investment bank. He will be responsible for local operations in Ulaanbaatar, and will also act as executive director of the company’s Mongolian subsidiaries.
