International oil and gas giant Apache Corp says it has received federal government approval to develop two new natural gas fields off the Western Australian coast.
Apache said today it had received the green light to develop the Julimar and Brunello offshore natural gas fields, which will supply gas to Chevron’s Wheatstone liquefied natural gas project.
Apache owns a 50 per cent stake in the gas fields with its other partner in the $30 billion Wheatstone project, Kuwait-based Kufpec.
