Nicholas Bath established Blue Cow Cheese Company in 1998 to deliver the best hand-made cheeses from Australia and Europe to Western Australians. And it has thrived in doing just that. But, like most emerging businesses, it hasn’t been an easy road and the hurdles placed before Mr Bath have been emotionally challenging. Mr Bath’s wife and partner in the business, Pippin, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 and passed away a year later. Faced with the demands of a sick loved one and also raising a new-born child, Mr Bath managed to keep his company operating. The company employs nine staff and not only delivers product to outlets in Perth but also the South West.
