A qualified pharmacist by the age of 21, Christopher Shenton began his working career at a large Rockingham pharmacy. By the age of 27 he had bought a 25 per cent share in the business. This entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own pharmacy and supply pharmaceuticals to the Joondalup Health Campus. With only one employee and 100 patients, the business turned over $500,000 the first year. Two years later, Mr Shenton rolled out the same model at the new Peel Health Campus in Mandurah. Today, CoPharmacy is the largest provider of institutional pharmacy services in the State and serves 6,000 patients in hospital, aged care and disability services.
