Earth from above High-profile environmentalist Phillip Toyne is coming to Perth to give a speech at The University of Western Australia Club’s theatre auditorium on Tuesday January 20. The former head of the Australian Conservation Foundation and deputy secretary of the Commonwealth Department of Environment will address the challenges of mining and sustainability. He comes as part of the Earth from Above exhibition, sponsored by BHP Billiton and The University of Western Australia. The exhibition is a free outdoor photography exhibition that features 120 aerial images capturing the natural beauty of the earth and human endeavour. It will be held at the Perth Cultural Centre until January 21. With more than 300 local and international exhibitors from China, Germany, Norway, US and the UK, the expo will showcase the latest in the industry and provide the opportunity to liaise directly with key stakeholders.
