Monadelphous’s partly owned subsidiary, Zenviron, has secured work on the Rye Park wind farm in regional NSW.

The contract is worth $250 million and involves delivering balance-of-plant civil and electrical works.

It was awarded to Zenviron by Rye Park Renewables Energy, a subsidiary of New Zealand-headquartered Tilt Renewables.

Zenviron said the Rye Park wind farm was expected to reduce carbon emissions by 960,000 tonnes and provide clean energy to power 215,000 homes each year.

Zenviron expects to employ more than 250 people to complete work under the contract.

“Zenviron continues to perform strongly in the growing Australian renewable energy market,” general manager Carl Keating said.

“Since our establishment five years ago, Zenviron has been contracted to deliver balance-of-plant works in excess of 2GW for renewable energy projects, which demonstrates the strength and capability of our company in the sector.”

Zenvrion expects to complete work on the project within the first quarter of 2024.

The business is 55 per cent owned by Victoria Park-based Monadelphous and 45 per cent owned by renewable energy specialist ZEM Energy.

Monadelphous shares closed down 1.6 per cent today to trade at $10.45.
