Multinational retailer Zara and cosmetics chain Sephora are among the latest tenants announced as part of the $800 million Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment.

The retailers will join H&M, UNIQLO and Mecca as part of the centre’s expanded fashion and beauty offering, Fashion Loop, anticipated to open later this year.

Karrinyup will mark the third Western Australian store for Zara, adding to the group’s Perth city and Booragoon stores.

Sephora will make its Perth debut, following a pop-up stint that ran within Claremont Quarter’s David Jones from November 2019 till January 2020.

Multiplex is leading the construction of the $800 million redevelopment of Karrinyup shopping centre, which is owned by AMP Capital.

Once complete, the expansion will result in the centre almost doubling its footprint to 109,000 square metres to become the state’s second largest shopping centre, overtaking Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City, according to the Business News Data & Insights Shopping Centres list.

“The new-look Karrinyup will be Perth’s leading fashion and lifestyle destination with an offering you won’t find anywhere else,” AMP Capital divisional investment and development manager WA Scott Nugent said.

Zara will be located on level 1 of Karrinyup’s Fashion Loop, with the redevelopment also featuring a 10-screen Hotys cinema, revitalised dining offerings as well as residential apartments.
