ZBB wins $1.3m in government funding

BIBRA Lake-based ZBB Energy Corporation will receive $3.1 million over two years in project funding from the Department of the Environment and Water Resources Advanced Electricity Storage Technologies program. The project will integrate ZBB’s zinc-bromine energy storage systems with multiple renewable energy sources at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation’s Newcastle Energy Centre in New South Wales. The company said in an announcement the changes would help to bring its technologies further into the renewable energy market. ZBB shares, which were reinstated to official quotation earlier this week, will cease trading on the ASX on August 8, after a decision to re-focus its activities on the American Stock and Options Exchange. Grange, Patrick deal PERTH-BASED minerals explorer, Grange Resources Ltd, has signed an agreement with Patrick Port Services to study the $300 million development of pipeline and port infrastructure for its Southdown Magnetite Project. The study will look at building a filter plant, storage shed, product handling conveyor systems, shiploader and jetty at the Albany Port, from next year. Grange said the arrangement offered the potential for substantial capital costs savings for the project.
