ENTERPRISE Network for Young Australians, a national not-for-profit company with the mission of supporting and promoting the active participation of young Australians in enterprise has been launched.

ENYA will assist young business and social entrepreneurs by providing a national network that young people can join, for free, to access information about enterprise and connect with their peers.

Its website at www.enya.org.au already features news, an events calendar, discussion forums and online resources such as Enterprise Junction, a searchable database of support programs available in Australia and Learning Point, an online educational centre featuring short business articles and book reviews.

ENYA also plans to deliver support services to young entrepreneurs through mentoring, virtual business incubation, grants and education.

It will also coordinate research and information on Australian enterprise with plans to act as a consultative body to government, industry and educators.

While the bulk of ENYA’s four directors are from the eastern States, its finance director Mark Tomasz hails from Perth.
