WorkSafe is investigating a workplace incident at a farm in the state's Wheatbelt region, where a teenage worker has died.
The workplace safety regulator confirmed a 17-year-old worker was struck by a loader at a sheep and wheat farm at Burakin on Saturday.
The young man was declared dead at the scene, WorkSafe told Business News.
Investigators travelled to the scene and investigations remain ongoing.
This is the second workplace death in the state this week, after a 21-year-old man was fatally injured at a mine near Kambalda.
The worker died at South African gold miner Gold Fields' St Ives mine in Widgiemooltha on Wednesday.
Western Australian Police said WorkSafe had been notified and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
The St Ives mine is one of four mines operated by Gold Fields in WA and comprises four underground mine areas and seven open pits.
In October 2022, a contractor was killed at Gold Fields’ Hamlet underground mine, within St Ives.
