Former Xanadu group marketing and sales manager Kelly Renouf has moved out of the wine industry and into the family business, Renouf Real Estate.

Ms Renouf spent three years building Xanadu’s corporate and bottle brands, but was made redundant last year when Xanadu embarked on a $1.5 million cost-cutting strategy.

After a well-earned break, Ms Renouf has decided to change focus and try her hand at real estate.

Ms Renouf will take on a sales role in the business and says her previous experience in selling and marketing brands across a broad spectrum put her in good stead to introduce new ideas and applications to the business.

“Maintaining my focus on premium brands is most important to me. My new endeavour allows me to do this as I shift from one of life’s necessities [wine] to another [homes],” she says.

While Western Australians were all enjoying work on Monday June 14, Melburnians were lucky enough to be either watching the footy, or sampling some of WA’s best wines at the Good Food and Wine Show.

The event ran over the Queen’s birthday long weekend (in the east), and included several local wine-makers.

This year WA was represented by five winemakers; Capel Vale, Goundrey, Madfish, Plantagenet and Watershed Premuim Wines made the trip over east to exhibit their wares.
