Willing Property is adding a construction arm to its company, which it says will add certainty to the market during a volatile period.

Willing Build, which will facilitate the construction of Wiling Property’s more than $80 million of projects across Mount Lawley, Perth and Coolbinia, is set to launch on July 1.

To be led by Dayne Willing – the brother of Willing Property founder Tim Willing – and general manager Simon Greenlaw, the company was set up to eliminate the need for Willing Property to contract third party builders.

Tim Willing said this would result in better control over project quality, timing and cost, and ultimately more certainty in an unstable market.

“As both builder and client, Willing is able to leverage established supplier and subcontractor relationships, negating the tender process and providing more transparent pricing and programming,” he said.

“These relationships have been fostered over many years and give us, and our buyers, incredible peace of mind that we have tried and trusted workmanship at our fingertips.”

The moves comes after Willing Property kept its recently completed Clifton and Central apartment project in Mount Lawley afloat following the collapse of its original builder, Pindan, part way through the development.

At the time, Tim Willing deployed his brother’s construction company Willing Homes to complete the build of the $6.9 million project.

“My brother Dayne and I grew up on building sites and we are excited to be able to create and deliver homes for a new generation,” Tim Wiling added.

Willing Property recently received development approval for its eight-storey $10.5 million Mount Lawley apartment project on West Parade.

The group is partway through construction of a $40.5 million apartment and townhouse development on Field Street in Mount Lawley, and has plans for a five-storey apartment complex on Adair Parade in Coolbinia.

Willing Property is also planning to deliver housing for disability services housing provider, Sana.
