WestStar books $13m in contracts

West Australian industrial services company WestStar Industrial has secured $13 million worth of contracts and awards through its subsidiaries, Alltype Engineering and SIMPEC.

About $10 million worth of contracts and awards was issued to Alltype Engineering from clients across mining, oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

WestStar's engineering arm SIMPEC has been awarded about $3 million in new client awards in addition with variations to existing projects.

It includes a $1.5 million limited notice to proceed for an expansion project for a major construction materials provider in WA.

According to WestStar's ASX announcement today, the company had significant works under contract and in various stages of completion for FY23.

"Recently awarded contracts disclosed to the market now total ~$28M, which includes the ~$15M of new awards and contract expansions previously announced in June," the announcement said.

"Due to the ability to deliver works for several of these significant flagship projects (Iron Bridge Wet Plant, Talison Greenbushes, Tianqi, FQM, Lynas) the company has seen an acceleration of tendering activities in WA’s battery mineral sector (nickel, lithium and rare earth producers)."

WestStar was trading at 17 cents a share, as at 2:32pm AEST.
