WAVENET Technology has announced a significant sale of its new wireless telecommunications suite to a US buyer.
The local company’s Wombat technology, which has been sold for $3.3 million to the mystery buyer, will be used for automatic vehicle location solutions in the commercial vehicle industry.
It is understood Wavenet may receive further orders in the near future from the same group, at which point it will reveal the buyer’s identity.
The sale follows another major order for the technology in February by US telecommunications provider Velocita Wireless, worth $1.8 million.
