Channel Seven Perth programming and communications manager Ray Wardrop has today been confirmed the new general manager for the network's Western Australia operations.
Mr Wardrop takes over from Chris Wharton, who was earlier today appointed chief executive of West Australian Newspaper Holdings.
"Ray knows Perth and Western Australia," chief executive officer Seven Media Group David Leckie said.
"We're pleased that our depth in management allows for a smooth transition at our highest-rating television station in Australia. Chris did a terrific job for us at Seven in Perth and all of us here wish him the best as he takes on his new role at The West."
Mr Wardrop starts his new position on Monday.
