RETIRED former chief of the Singapore Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Ng Jui Ping, announced the development of a $250 million resort at Port Kennedy, 30 minutes south of Perth. The Kennedy-Bay Resort (KBR) was to be located on 740 hectares and include 91 beachfront villas, apartments and townhouses priced between $171,000 and $469,000 each. Plans for KBR included 740 villas, apartments, townhouses, a marina, sports and yachting facilities, two 18-hole golf courses and hotels.
