Nearly 80 jobs at Mission Australia's WA division are in doubt after the federal government did not renew the non-profit organisation's contract as part of the $4 billion overhaul of the national job network.

In a letter posted on a new Australian Services Union website - saveourjobs.com.au - Mission Australia said around 458 jobs across the country will be made redundant as a result of the contract loss.

The figure includes 79 employees in WA.

The organisation said the sites which offer employment services will close at the end of June this year.

Yesterday, the federal government announced the implementation of the new Job Services Australia, which replaces the Howard government's Job Network.

Employment Participation Minister Brendan O'Connor said yesterday that 28 per cent of tenderers will be unsuccessful in securing a new contract.

Results of which employment services providers were successful was released today on the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations website.

An employee with Perth-based Centacare Employment and Training told WA Business News that the non-profit organisation's contract had not been renewed.

The federal government has set aside $3.5 million business adjustment fund for unsuccessful providers.
