WESTERN Australian builders have emerged as major winners in the 2005 National Awards for Excellence in Building held by Master Builders Australia. At a National Awards dinner held in Sydney, winners from Western Australia were: Webb and Brown-Neaves Home Builders – best display home ($250,000 to $300,000 category); Summit Home Improvements – best alteration/addition renovation ($100,000 to $200,000);Addstyle Master Builder – best alteration/addition renovation (under $100,000); Premium Developments – best contract home (up to $150,000); Multiplex Constructions – commercial builder of the year; and Leighton Contractors – national civil/infrastructure award (over $20 million) for the Samson Brook Water Treatment Plant in Waroona.
