WA Government Grants

Recent WA Government grants have included:

• $295,000 from the Country Visitor Centre Sustainability and Enhancement Scheme, to regional centres and regional tourism organisations:

1. $81,400 to the On-Line Reservation System

2. $63,000 to the WA Regional Tourism Monitor

3. $55,000 to the Visitor Centre Association of Western Australia Inc, for the 2002 Top Tourist Town Awards

4. $11,000 to the Busselton Visitor Centre Inc, for the purchase and set-up of new computer/software

5. $11,000 to the Dunsborough Tourist Bureau, for website development and design

6. $11,000 to the Esperance Visitor Centre, to purchase computers and new counters

7. $11,000 to the Kalbarri Visitor Centre, for a reservation system

8. $10,000 to the Derby Visitor Centre, for a strategic planning consultant

9. $10,220 to the Nannup Visitor Centre, to produce brochures and for display equipment

10. $8,300 to the Tom Price Visitor Centre, for a website, promotional material and a new computer

11. $9,350 to the Dongara Visitor Centre, to produce brochures

12. $6,870 to the City of Bunbury, to enhance the Bunbury Visitor Centre

13. $7,320 to the Broome Visitor Centre, for a new telephone system

14. $5,720 to the Toodyay Visitor Centre, for a Connors Mill marketing plan

15. $4,790 to the Roebourne Visitor Centre, to enhance the centre

16. $4,670 to the Bridgetown Visitor Centre, for new equipment, a visitor information bay and a display cabinet

17. $3,150 to the Harvey Visitor Centre, to employ a promotions officer

18. $3,070 to the Norseman Tourist Bureau Inc, for website design and a brochure stand

19. $2,200 to the Mandurah Visitor Centre, to purchase display units and accessories

20. $2,200 to the Northcliffe Tourist Centre, for promotional merchandise

21. $1,675 to the Narrogin & Districts Tourist Bureau, for brochure display, accounting software and training

22. $790 to the Geraldton Visitor Centre, to purchase display units

• $772,000, from the Country Pathways Grant Scheme, to be shared between 33 regional centres, for cycling and walking facilities
