Former Perth Wildcats owner Andrew Vlahov has ended his tenure as chief executive of thermal energy company Enerji after spending just over a year in the role.

In a brief statement today, Perth-based Enerji said Mr Vlahov’s contract with the company had come to an end.

The board is already in discussions with an undisclosed replacement for the CEO position, but no appointment has been made yet.

Enerji chairman Rod Phillips said the company was very grateful for Mr Vlahov’s contribution to the business.

It follows news last month that Enerji had attracted diversified construction and maintenance group EC&M for a private $2 million share placement, with the funds to be used to progress Enerji’s power purchasing agreement with Northern Star Resources at the Jundee gold mine.

Enerji shares were 10 per cent higher to 2.2 cents each at 1:50pm.
