Newly elected president of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine, Peter Hayes, to conduct a series or workshops on wine industry sustainability, October 3 to 6 at various venues in the south west region. Linda Hohol, president of the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture Exchange and senior vice-president Kevan Cowan, to speak at the third Offshore Capital Raising for the Resources Industry Conference, October 16 and 17 at the Hyatt Regency. Dr Thomas Barlow, former research fellow at Oxford University and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, former scientific adviser to Dr Brendan Nelson in the Australian Government, and author of the recently released book The Australian Miracle – an innovative nation revisited, to speak at a CEDA luncheon on October 25. Dr Sam Muller, director of the Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law (Netherlands) and Professor Michiel Scheltema, professor of law at Leiden University (Netherlands), to speak at the UWA Extension’s International Seminar on Globalisation, Law and Justice, October 27 and 28.
