The Public Relations Institute of Australia (WA) is holding a half-day stakeholder relations seminar on July 5 at the Hyatt Regency Perth.
The seminar will focus on how to use stakeholder relations management to improve public relations results. There will be four presentations:
• Sinclair Consulting principal and immediate past president of PRIA WA Marie-Louise Sinclair will speak on sustained shareholder collaboration – the argument for a systematic approach. This will include a case study presentation with Water Corporation issues management coordinator Megan Crust.
• Newmont Australia group executive (environment and social responsibility) Christine Charles will discuss the business case for stakeholder communication and Newmont’s stakeholder engagement process.
• Telstra group manager corporate affairs Peter Fairclough will provide an overview of how Telstra manages its stakeholder relations in an issues-rich environment.
• Australian Red Cross national communications manager Vedran Drakulic will be speaking on managing stakeholder relations in a crisis environment.
The seminar costs $160 for PRIA members and $225 for non-members. For more information, contact PRIA WA on 9328 2577 or priawa@bigpond.com.
