UWA Extension, the community outreach program of The University of Western Australia, has organised several upcoming presentations. The nature of the city: Planning and Infrastructure Minister Alannah MacTiernan is to speak at a presentation on January 23 on the plans for Perth beyond the boom. Ms MacTiernan will present the changes ahead for Perth, and discuss issues such as government response to public dialogue about city visions, resisting change and environmental impact. Marshall speaks out: Nobel Prize winning scientist Professor Barry Marshall will also speak at a presentation on February 19 about his personal and professional experiences.
