Tox Free wins Rio Tinto waste contract

Nedlands-based Tox Free Solutions has been named as the preferred vendor to supply industrial and waste management services for all of Rio Tinto Iron Ore's operations in the Pilbara.

The award of the contract is subject to signing which it hopes to complete within the next few weeks.

The scope of works includes the provision of industrial and waste management services for all of Rio Tinto Pilbara Operations, including Cape Lambert, Mesa J, Dampier, 7-Mile, Parker Point, Pannawonica, Paraburdoo, Tom Price, West Angeles, Hope Downs, Yandicoogina, Brockman, Namuldi, Marandoo, Eastern Range and Channar.

Tox Free's focus is to build long term relationships with the mining and oil and gas industry in the region through the provision of safe, reliable, sustainable and innovative waste management services.

Some of the proceeds of the recent capital raising will provide mobile equipment to service the Rio Tinto scope of works and fund additional processing capacity at our Karratha and Port Hedland facilities.

The long term growth outlook for the Pilbara region is very strong with investment in LNG projects alone estimated at over $100 billion over the next 5 years.
