Tox Free purchases Pilbara Waste

Perth-based waste management firm Tox Free Solutions has entered an agreement to acquire Port Hedland’s Pilbara Waste for a cash payment of $4.54 million.

Under terms of the transaction, Tox Free will also assume Pilbara Waste’s vehicle finance leases, worth around $1 million.

The acquisition remains subject to due diligence, and is expected to be completed before the end of October.

“Tox Free expects to grow the services offered in the Pilbara region in the medium term through its expertise in servicing the resource sector,” the company said in a statement.

“The acquisition will further position Tox Free as a leading provider of industrial and waste management services in the region.”

At 10:37AM (WST) Tox Free’s stock was up half a per cent, to $2.11.
