Tourism WA changes at the top

TOURISM WA has undergone significant staff movements at the executive level since outgoing chief executive Richard Muirhead formally vacated the position six months ago.

In January, TWA chairman Kate Lamont said that, after eight years in the job, Mr Muirhead was leaving the role, with TWA marketing executive director Stephanie Buckland to take on the position of acting CEO.

In lieu of Ms Buckland’s new role, Kelly MacLean has been promoted to the position of acting executive director for marketing.

Aviation services executive director Rick Thomas will be vacating his position in the coming week.

Meanwhile, industry development executive director Jennifer Duffecy left the agency about a month ago to join Anglicare in a strategic capacity.

Former human resources manager David Lowe remains as acting executive director of the corporate and business services division after replacing Stephanie Withers, while the top job at Eventscorp remains in the hands of executive director David van Ooran.

All executive positions will be advertised as part of the recently announced major restructure
