Tinellis planning more lunch 4U

RENOWNED restaurateur Umberto Tinelli says the 4U Cafe lunch bar in West Perth is the best business he has ever opened.

So much so that together with his son, Christian, he will roll-out as many as 10 of the lunch bars in the near future.

The 4U Cafe in Havelock Street serves a range of healthy food-to-go and fruit and vegetable juices.

“It’s the best business we’ve done,” Mr Tinelli said. “It has three staff and it opens from 7am to 5pm and that’s it.”

Christian Tinelli told WA Business News this week that he is looking at opening as many as 10 4U Cafes in the next couple of years.

“We’re currently looking at a site in South Perth and one in the city,” he said.

“I think we will have a few more in the next three months. The aim is to have a centralised kitchen that operates for all the outlets. I would like to have 10 in the CBD.”

Umberto Tinelli, who recently opened Jo Jo’s Café in Nedlands, said he wanted the business to be a specialist in fruit and vegetables.

“We want to expand 4U and specialise in fruit and vegetables and food that goes with that – low fat meats, food low in sugar, really good yoghurts and things that people can walk past come in and take it away,” he said.

“We’re looking at doing it in shopping centres and wherever else it would suit.”
