BUSINESS News has officially launched its 40 under 40 program.
The program aims to find the next tranche of WA business and com-munity leaders. It will select 40 people of less than 40 years of age who already are leaders in their field.
The program aims to identify those who will be the most likely to set WA’s agenda in the next decade.
The 40 chosen will be WA’s most dynamic young business leaders who share a common commitment to profess-ional excellence and the community.
Now the search is on for nominees. Nomin-ation forms are available online from our website www.40under40.com.au
Judges will be drawn from major companies. Each judge will be a high-profile corporate leader or from an organisation that understands the importance of encouraging tomorrow’s decision makers.
Winners of the 40 under 40
award will be showcased at a
cocktail reception run by Business News in mid-February.
Business News directors Harry Kleyn and Elton Swarts decided to run the program because they feel WA’s young leaders are not receiving the recognition they deserve.
They believe leadership has never been a more important issue within the community.
Mr Swarts said fostering tomorrow’s leaders was crucial to WA’s economic success.
“The program is about a sense of discovery. It’s about finding the people who are making a difference to our State and creating jobs here,” he said.
Ten top WA organisations have joined Business News to help make it a success. They are the Australian Society of CPAs, Deacons Lawyers, Method, Norgard Clohessy, tmp Worldwide, Woodside, Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and the University of WA.
