COUNCILLOR Tess Stroud will represent the Perth City Council on the Swan Bells Foundation.
The foundation will decide which arts and cultural organisations receive monies raised from tourist visits to the Belltower that is expected to be officially opened on December 10.
A move to have the position held by the Lord Mayor of the day was rejected.
Lord Mayor Peter Nattrass said he had been involved with the committee governing the Belltower’s construction and was not seeking any further involvement.
The bells were road tested for the media last week.
