Technology group NEC Australia has inked a lease at 503 Murray Street, one of two deals brokered at the building recently by commercial agency CBRE.

NEC will take up 1,179 square metres of the building, which was completed in 2009, for at least the next five years.

The other deal was existing tenant WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff renewing its lease over two floors of the building.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has been a tenant since the building was completed and has signed up for an additional seven-year term.

The deals were brokered by CBRE’s Luke Bray on behalf of landlord Fairworld Holdings.

Mr Bray said the transactions were representative of tenant demand for modern, A-grade buildings at good rents in the CBD.

“503 Murray Street provides tenants with a very cost effective option with all of the benefits of an A-grade building on the Terrace while only being a couple of blocks away,” Mr Bray said.

Meanwhile, Hawaiian has committed to an upgrade of its London House and Parmelia House properties to attract tenants, including new end of trip, bicycle storage and amenity upgrades.

The upgrades were designed in collaboration with design firm Woods Bagot, while Credentia Construction will handle the building works.
