Favourite holiday destination?

Paris. It's vibrant, exciting, dynamic and constantly surprising.

Favourite place within WA to take a short break?

Rottnest Island. You can get there in under an hour but it's like going to a different country. A night on a boat at Rottnest is worth a week anywhere else.

Best place in Perth to take out-of-towners?

The newly renovated Rottnest Hotel for lunch - great food and atmosphere in a totally unique environment; a showcase for WA tourism.

Biggest travel disaster and what did you learn from it?

You still need seasickness tablets on the Queen Mary.

What's always in your carry-on luggage?

iPhone for email, tunes and movies.

Where have you always wanted to travel/holiday but haven't managed to yet?

Antarctica.

What is your favourite interstate/overseas restaurant/bar/hotel?

Otto, Woolloomooloo, Sydney

What was the most recent book you read?

Fiasco. The American Military Adventure in Iraq by Thomas E Ricks.

What WA/Perth restaurant do you keep going back to?

Deco at The Raffles. Consistently great, brilliant view, lively bar and walking distance home.
