PERTH will host a major marketing and business conference – the Australian Masters Marketing Summit 2009 – from March 17-18, featuring some of the world’s top marketing executives. The Small Business Development Corporation has joined as a partner to the event, which will be made carbon neutral through the planting of 480 trees. Summit organiser Peter Aleksander, the founder of Subiaco-based sponsorship and management firm Yellow Empire, said the summit would bring together 19 of the world’s highest-profile marketing gurus, including Lexus Group marketing vice-president Michelle Pilot, Fox Media Interactive Europe GM Rebekah Horne, and Full Circle Media CEO Brian Gallagher. He said the conference would provide valuable marketing information to a wide audience and would provide beneficial tools to assist small and medium enterprises, through to national and international brands. “This event was born out of a desire to bring the world’s heavy hitters in the marketing game to us, to make Perth the destination for a change and create an event that really is world-class,” Mr Aleksander said. “To that end I’ve secured industry leaders from around the globe, including the US, Asia, Europe, the UK and Australia, to share their expertise in an environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.”
