CITY of Swan mayor Charlie Gregorini has died after a tractor accident last week, aged 62. He was first elected to the Shire of Swan in May 1977, was the shire’s longest serving president from 1980 until 1991 and then 1994 to 2000. Mr Gregorini was the inaugural City of Swan Mayor in 2000 and then again from 2003 until his death. Mr Gregorini was made a Member of the Order of Australia last year for his services to local government.
