UNIVERSITY of Western Australia student Jeremy Bond has won $10,000 after achieving a 353 per cent on his virtual portfolio over 12 months in the BRW National Student Share Portfolio Award.
Mr Bond’s portfolio achieved the best return of more than 4,500 portfolios from 1,800 university students around Australia.
Each portfolio started with a virtual $200,000 and was "locked-in" in August last year with the results tracked over 12 months.
Interestingly, the average performance across the 4,500 portfolios was a 16.2 per cent return.
This out did the All Ordinaries which returned 10.29 per cent over the same period.
