PROPERTY Council of Australia past President Gerald Major has been appointed by the Minister for Planning Graham Kierath to the important position of industry representative on the Central Perth Planning Committee.
Other committee members include Simon Holthouse from the WA Planning Commission, Gary Prattley from the Ministry for Planning, Lord Mayor Peter Nattrass and Maria Torre as the community representative.
Mrs Torre is a former Perth City Council Deputy Lord Mayor.
It is intended that the committee will improve long-term
planning for the Perth CBD’s future.
The Minister has developed the planning committee based on the Property Council’s model published in the report Capital City Co-ordination for the 21st Century.
