THE Australian Institute of Office Professionals has launched its annual award program, which recognises the outstanding talents of some of WA’s best administrators and secretaries.
Three awards, the office professionals award, achievement award, and encouragement award will be presented at a gala function at the Hyatt in April.
AIOP received about 40 nominations last year and those were narrowed down to 15, who sat in front of a very experienced panel to determine the winner for 2001.
The City of Busselton’s Julie Rawlings was the winner of the office professional of the year award. Mardon Recruitment’s Emma Martin was awarded the encouragement award. The call for nominations is now on for this year’s Office Professional of the Year. Office professionals can nominate themselves or be nominated by their employer or colleague.
Your nominee must have held their secretary/ administrative or equivalent role for at least five consecutive years. However, your nominee can still be in the running for the encouragement award if they have less than five years’ experience. Applications close on March 14. The winners of all three awards will be announced at the annual breakfast on Secretaries’ Day on Wednesday April 24 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
