Seven WA companies join S&P/ASX300

Seven WA companies, including iiNET, ASG Group and Grange Resources have joined the top 300 listed companies in Australia, after Standard and Poors issued its September quarterly rebalance.

Other WA companies joining the S&P/ASX 300 include Ampella Mining, Coalspur Mines, Aurora Oil & Gas and Gryphon Minerals.

Four WA companies, Bannerman Resources, Conquest Mining, Deep Yellow and Ramelius Resources were removed from the S&P/ASX 300 list.

MAp Group joined the top 50 companies but Telecom Corporation of New Zealand was removed from the S&P/ASX 50 list.

Macarthur Coal and Ten Network were also added to the S&P/ASX 100 while Energy Resources and Nufarm were dropped.

In a statement S&P said, "Companies from the energies and materials sectors features prominently among index additions and removals in the September review of the S&P/ASX indcies with the two sectors representing more than half of the changes."
