Second Bellevue site report out

ANOTHER report, detailing the second phase of soil and groundwater investigations at the former waste control facility in Bellevue that was destroyed by fire in 2001, has been released.

The Bellevue Community Consultative Committee chair Dr Tony Hendry said the report further defined the extent of contamination at the site and introduced a number of options to be considered for site clean-up.

Public information days were held in Bellevue in late October to discuss the findings of the report and the suggested remedial options.
